If you are interested in Japanese cultural activities and socializing with friends from all over the world, why don’t you join a Japanese Paper Making event?
---What is Japanese Paper?---
Japanese Paper, or Washi, is a special type of paper made by traditional methods.
It is known worldwide for its beauty, ability to absorb water, and strength,
and Japanese today are trying to follow traditional paper-making techniques.
In this Japanese Paper Making event, you are going to work on Japanese papers of your own design,
and make them into art pieces, like postcards and Japanese Traditional decorations for New Year.


DATE: November 17th Saturday, 10AM to 3PM


PLACE: Yamazaki Elementary School, Traditional Craft Room

           3-9-1 Umegaoka, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo

           10-minute walk from Umegaoka Station,
           Odakyu Odawara Line.



FEE: FREE for foreign national participants.
        1,000yen at the door for Japanese participants.
        Snacks & beverages included.
Capacity: 20 people

Please bring an apron, rubber boots (or any other footwear to stay away from getting wet), and a hand towel with you!
