A totally new form of entertainment combining movie, theatre and sightseeing!

The Ginza Theatrical Night Tour

is a whole new way to sightsee and to live inside a play at the same time.

Together with the cast, you will see Ginza

– where retro and cutting-edge culture meet –

as you witness the unfolding of an extraordinary story.

This tour offers a whole new “moving” sightseeing experience.




Purpose of the questionnaire / interview

 To hear opinions and suggestions for the promotion, content and the operations of the new form of tour which combines sightseeing and entertainment.

Dates and Schedule

 Friday, Jan 25 – Tuesday, Jan 29, 2019

 Starts at ①18:00 and ②21:00 each day. (Duration: 2 hours)
 ① Participants joining the 18:00 tour will visit:
  • Togeki (Cinema, opened in 1975)
  • Ginza Kimuraya (Bakery, opened in 1869) – You are served a red bean bun.
  • Ginza Itoya (Stationery Shop, opened in 1904) – You are served a cup of hot lemonade and will get an original bookmark as a souvenir.
  • Okuno building (Retro building, built in 1932)
  • Wako (Department Store, opened in 1932)
 ② Participants joining the 21:00 tour will visit:
  • Togeki (Cinema, opened in 1975)
  • Tricolore (Café, opened in 1936) – You will be served a mini cup of coffee and an éclair.
  • Beer Hall LION GINZA 7chome (Beer Hall, opened in 1934) – You will be served a beer and some light food to go with it.
  • Wako (Department Store, opened in 1932)


<Meeting Place
 Meeting Place: The tour departs from Togeki Cinema (Togeki Building 3rd Floor, 4-1-1 Tsukiji, Chuo-ku, Tokyo | 東京都中央区築地4-1-1 東劇ビル3F)

   Access: 1-minute walk from exit 6 Higashi-ginza station (Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line), 3-minute walk from Higashi-ginza station (Toei Asakusa Line)

   MAP | Close to the famous sightseeing spot Ginza KABUKI-ZA, 1-minute walk from Higashi-ginza station (exit 6), Togeki Cinema is located in the red and white building.

Attractive Points
  1. This tour will be sold for around ¥6,000 (tax included), whereas the monitors will be invited to experience it for FREE!
  2. All participants will be taken to the top of the clock tower of Wako Department, which is the most iconic place at the heart of Ginza and has never been open to the public. It is normally accessible only to the customers who have purchased an engagement ring at Wako, but this time the tour is allowing the special offer to go up the clock tower.
  3. You will get to visit more sights like an old cinema, a traditional cafe, a famous bakery etc. and will be served light food and drinks as well.

  • The tour is provided in English only.
  • Max 10 participants can join in each tour.
