ICT marked its first anniversary on July 6th!
Thank you for coming to us to celebrate the 1st anniversary of ICT! A Special thanks to all members! We all had a great time, and it was a special day we’ll never forget!
Last year, in July, Akie and I founded ICT, where is to provide a “Home” for everyone, and to share their experiences, knowledge, and expertise throughout our unique activities. First, we have started having “Language Exchange and English Discussion” classes in NY way once a week for the first 6 months. Fortunately, some Japanese ICT members and one American kept helping us with joined classes. We were so lucky to have many special members from the beginning. Without them, we would not be here today.
But, of course, there were some ups and downs. The most difficult thing organizers experienced that to promote for collecting both Japanese and native speakers. We did everything for working such as making fliers to post on billboards at stations, libraries and supermarkets, joining some events/meetings which were organized by Setagaya ward and giving a presentation in public.
Meanwhile, we registered “Meetup”, one of ICT members told us, and announced the class information every time. As a result, regular members who came from a variety of countries got increased after 3, 4 months later we opened the account Meetup. Now, more than 20 participants are constantly coming to our classes!

=== ICT Class Report (from July, 2012 to June, 2013) ===

The Total Number of ……

Classes: 37

Participants: 94 (Japanese 67, Non-Japanese 27)

Countries: 14

The Average Participants: 15

The regular members: 32

Lastly, one year was both a long time and a very short time. We will keep moving forward to give a “platform”, where Japanese and Non-Japanese in Tokyo can feel free to stop by. We really appreciate if you could be some help for achieving our missions in the future.

Again, thank you for your continued support. It made it possible to create a unique association ICT thanks to all of you! To all members joined us in our journey, a big thank you!!
