日本茶体験 Japanese Tea Experience – Learn the Basic & Hands-on Steeping Practice!
Since you are in Japan, probably you tasted Japanese green tea at least once. Green tea is getting popular worldwide because of its health benefit, but it seems not many people know about Japanese green tea – how it is cultivated, harvested and processed, how to steep, etc. This event is for those who are interested in Japanese green tea, but don’t know about it well, or those who drink Japanese tea at home, but not sure about the steeping method.
Bring your own teacup and teapot/Kyusu (if you have one), and you can practice with it!
◆ What is Japanese tea?
Literally it means, “Any tea produced in Japan”. However, usually “Japanese tea (Nihon-cha)” means Sencha because Sencha (= regular green tea) accounts for about 80% of the tea production in Japan, You can find more detailed information at http://www.o-cha.net/english/index.asp.
