Try and Experience Futaba's Hand printing, dyeing colorful table mat  RSVP Closed!

Futaba-en is one of the historical dyeing shops in Ochiai (Shinjuku area), where dyeing culture has developed since Edo era. 

This is a super great opportunity to join a guide tour how craftman dye with many techniques, experience dyeing/steaming hand print table mat and touch Japanese dyeing world "Edo Sarasa" and "Edo Komon" deeply while you are in Japan! After dyeing activities, we have tea time at Futaba-en's cafe. 

Various goods have been selled, including not only kimono and obi, but also small articles (e.g. wallet, accessories and bags) and interiors at gallary.

  12:45pm Open

  1:00-2:30pm Dyeing table mat (New patterns and colors) and steaming

  2:30-3:00pm Futaba-en factory tour

  3:00pm~ Free talk time at cafe and shopping at Futaba-en's gallary (option)


- Things to Bring

  Just bring yourself. *Please participate in clothes that you won't bother getting dirty.

  2,700 yen (includes materials and tax), RESERVED seat on ICT website.
