【学LEARN】Business Culture Class (BCC) 05 "Work Ethic: What is in a good day's work?~ Interactive Style Class ~

◆ What is BCC?

BCC is a series of class to discuss and learn some of the key Japanese business culture which would provide not only the typical business manners but the real voices of business person working in Japan.

◆ Topic

This time we will discuss the topic, "Work Ethic: What is in a good day's work?". お疲れ様でした! That's how we say "you worked well today" in Japanese. But what counts as a good day's work? Is your work ethic proved by how long you were at the office or is it something else? We are going to look at how different work places address this question. Please join us and bring your own perspective and experiences! We always have late lunch together after the class!

Before Class: RSVP

We would like to have each of you sending the question about the topic when signing up for the class. (Of course you can send us additional questions after signing up or even in the class!)

In the Class

  • Intro - Compare Japanese and foreign "work ethic" watching slides and examples. As a class, elicit advantages and disadvantages of both.
  • Presentation - Show videos and images from ICT staff (Facts about the topic and questions from attendees)
  • Discussion - We will make groups of 4-5 people and have each you a small group works and discussion of the questions etc.
