The International Center in Tokyo ICT "Japanese Culture Program 2015" for the students from Cincinnati started from January 7th and did 7 sessions for 3 weeks.
ICT special workshop master got together and introduced many cool aspects of Japan for the students including fun hands-on activity! Get to know more Japan under the concept of "Cool Japan"
A special thank-you to all students and instructors for sharing a great time with us! We hope students got a deeper understanding of Japanese "Cool" Culture!

*We learned how to use Furoshiki. It can be used as a bag, a plastic bottle holder and a hat.
Remember the square knots!!
*We learned how to dye Kimono, called Edo Sarasa. Now you know how sensitive Kimono is!
*Rakugo is a comedic storyteller and one of Japanese old culture. ボルボ亭イケ也 who is from Sweden performed Rakugo in English.
Let's remember one of the characters' name in a story called 「じゅげむ」.

Session 6: Japanese Tea Experience 2 ~ How to be a tea master ~ Haruna Yamamoto san (Japan Tea Instructor) on January 21st, 2015
*We tasted different types of tea with Japanese snacks, かりんとう, いもけんぴん,せんべえ. Everyone found their favourite tea, and they became a tea master!!
Session 7 (last session): Japanese Stereotype, Jojo (ICT founder) on January 22nd, 2015
*Today's lecture was about stereotypes. We exchanged our stereotypes between the States and Japan.
Are we Otaku? Are you the coolest person? I didn't know that everything in Texas is bigger than other area in the States. Anyway, it was very interesting.
Today we ICT staff also learned States stereotypes laughing a lot together!
