ICT Seasonal Event 5: Valentine’s Day Sweets
 
Join us for a Valentine Sweets Cooking (Ellie's home cooking class)!
Enjoy a menu full of authentic and delicious class, which is led by our special instructor Ellie Homma.
Learn how to make ultimate truffles and delicious muffins with professional tips and tricks.
 
Held in ICT organizer's kitchen, so the kids are also welcome!
Max to 10 people! Limited seats!

【Instructor Profile】

Hi! My name is Ellie Homma. I am from the United States. I was born and raised in Massachusetts. I received my degree in Anthropology in 1994. I always enjoyed cooking and after college, I worked in a deli/bakery for three years. We made bread, muffins, and cookies as well as soups, stews and casseroles. I moved to Japan in 1998 and worked as an ALT for a few years. I met and married my husband and now we have two sons, age 5 and 9. My children enjoy cooking and we often spend time together in our kitchen.

My cooking is limited to simple child friendly recipes but I hope you enjoy trying out a few recipes with me!

・American traditional and authentic homemade sweets; Blueberry Muffins and Cube Truffles! Less buttery than Japanese ones. Experience unusual taste!

・Learn fundamental skills of great sweets cooking

・Interact with participants and the instructor for a rich learning experience

・Social time over tea and coffee after cooking


 

【Schedule】

10:00am  Meeting at Chitose-Funabashi station (Odakyu Line)

10:30am -10:35am  Instructor’s Introduction & Guidance for Cooking

10:35am -10:50am  Making dough of muffins

10:50am -11:10am  Making truffles while baking muffins.

11:10am -11:30am  Extra time for cooking

11:30am -12:00pm  Social time over tea and coffee

12:00pm -12:30pm  Cleaning up

12:30pm -Breakup



【Things to Bring】

Bring an apron, a dish towel, a take away box and a container to mold truffles (e.g. lunch box)

The Kitchen Studio near Chitose-Funabashi station (Odakyu Line)

Will inform you in detail for only participants

 

 

Time

10:00am ~ 1:00pm (start at 10:30am, the event will finish around 12:30~1:00pm)

2,500 yen


* Pay at the door: including drink, rental space, and instructor fee.
