Enjoy making Wagashi and marriage of Wagashi and booze!

*This workshop is held in ENGLISH!!

on Saturday, October 14th 2017 | Harajuku, Tokyo | RESERVE!


Let’s make your original Wagashi together! The lesson is very simple and do not hesitate to try!
Generally, Wagashi (traditional Japanese confectionery) are served with Japanese green tea, but Japanese Wagahi may go with liquor.
Like enjoying western sweets with sweet wine, why do not you try the unique experience with us?


  
  

  
  



- Highlights of the event -

・Wagashi (moist sweets, Nerikiri) making experience
・Matching the Wagashi and other sweets prepared with liquor (bring your own booze!)
・Brief lecture about ingredients and culture of Japanese sweets
・Some typical Japanese sweets such as Dorayaki (Japanese pancakes)
and Daifuku (mochi stuffed with red bean jam) are also prepared to much with (TBD)


- Tips -

Knowing ingredients of Wagashi may help you to select your bottle of liquor.
Moist sweets you will make are made of rice powder, sugar, and red and French bean jam.
Other prepared sweets are also made of similar ingredients!

 

- Date -

2:00~4:00pm, Saturday, October 14th (Open: 1:45PM)
*Assemble at the entrance at CLUB PETU at 1:45pm, the workshop will start at 2:00pm sharp.

 

- Schedule -

2:00PM Introduction of Wagashi (Wagashi in four seasons / Ingredients of Wagashi)
2:15PM Wagashi making experience (moist sweets, nerikiri)
*You make 2 pieces of the sweets and eat them later with your own liquor
3:15PM Enjoy matching Wagashi with your liquor
*Some typical Wagashi are also prepared to match with your liquor
4:00PM Close

Hello, I’m Kaori, a licensed Japanese sweets instructor..

My passion is wagashi and international cultural exchanges. 
I lived in Hong Kong for several years. 
To promote cultural exchange, I have organized wagashi workshops 
aimed at non-Japanese people in English and simple Japanese in Tokyo and Hong Kong. 
I am looking forward to seeing you at the event!

1,500Yen (including Japanese sweets making experience and sweets to match with your liquor)
