Thank you very much for joining Wagashi making experience and matching with BYO booze on September 10!
We hope you enjoyed a great Saturday afternoon making Nerikiri and matching Japanese sweats with the sake.

It was a wonderful event, all guests brought their own bottle of liquor and enjoy matching with various Japanese snacks and sweets (e.g. Monaka, Arare, Senbei, Choko, and Yokan) meanwhile having Wagashi making experience!

ICT had the second Japanese Calligraphy Art Class 02 ~ Design your FUROSHIKI ~ on Sunday, February 28th. 6 of us including new comers from USA, Korea and Japan joined our class. Neigetsu(寧月)san gave us a great and relaxing time with the fun of calligraphy.

We enjoyed writing "Stroke Practice (運筆)" such as hold, thin, jag, twiddle line, and designing simple art with lines and circles on papers (半紙). The point of Japanese calligraphy is to how to design/leave empty space which is based on Japanese beauty, so we all were focused on not only the stroke practice but the space.

Everyone picked up favorite words, and drew characters (e.g. Flower、愛、美、真珠、海、黒猫)on each Furoshiki after well practice. All Furoshiki are different, beautiful and artistic! Neigetsu san showed us how to wrap a wine bottle with Furoshiki at the end!

We hope you enjoyed a Sunday afternoon creating your original Furoshiki! Neigetsu san, thank you very much for having the class with all preparations and giving us a wonderful opportunity. A big thank-you to all participants who attended for making the class more enjoyable!

Hope to see you at another ICT events soon!

ICT staff Hoyeon, Jojo and some ICT members joined the event organized by Tekenobu (Japanese craftwork trading company). We had a great Sunday afternoon for feeling/touching each attractive craftworks produced by 5 skilled artisans who have strong passion for their works. All works are different and all creative which have original stories....

3 Japanese traditional workshops (Tea ceremony, Mizuhiki and Ikebana), aesthetic lunch and elegant garden also made us more fun! A special thank you to Mrs. Naoko Takenobu and all participants who attended the event.

We look forward to work together with Takenobu for supporting marketing or sales promotion of these beautiful Japan-made products (lacquerwares, woodcrafts and ceramics) for overseas sales, and provide Non-Japanese people (tourists and residents) with opportunities to take part in testing of them in the future.

【楽FUN】Japanese Calligraphy Art Class ~ Design your FUROSHIKI ~

ICT had the first Japanese Calligraphy Art Class ~ Design your FUROSHIKI ~ on Saturday October 3rd. The great news is that 11 participants from France, Philippines and Japan attended the class where Japanese calligraphy designer and artist, Neigetsu (寧月)san gave us a great and relaxing time with the fun of calligraphy.

We enjoyed writing "Stroke Practice (運筆)" such as hold, thin, jag, twiddle line, and designing simple art with lines and circles on papers (半紙). The point of calligraphy is to how to design/leave empty space which is based on Japanese beauty and not to draw a stroke twice (basic rule).

Everyone picked up favorite words and pictures, and drew characters (e.g. 綺麗、雪月花、秋桜、喜怒哀楽など)on each Furoshiki after well practice. All Furoshiki are different, beautiful and artistic! Neigetsu san showed hot to wrap a wine bottle at the end!

We hope you enjoyed a Saturday afternoon creating your original Furoshiki! Neigetsu san, thank you very much for having the class with all preparations and giving us a great opportunity. We also thank all the guests who participated for making the class more memorable!

Hope to see you at next classes and our other events!

Thank you all for joining the first body conditioning class! We relaxed our muscles and stretched whole body laying and moving on the floor. The great part of the class was to learn how to walk in right way based on some theories behind the movement and body system/mechanism, which was introduced by our instructor Yuko san. Hope all participants were aware of their own movement and noticed their habits of the movement. See you again in September!
